4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers will not have running backs Christian McCaffrey (quadriceps, shoulder) or Mike Davis for the Week 17 regular season finale against the Saints. With nothing left to play for in 2020, the Panthers are taking the smart approach and resting their All-Pro running back in McCaffrey, who has played in just three games this year due to injuries. Carolina will be down to their fifth left tackle and third-string running back in Trenton Cannon. Rookies Myles Hartsfield and Rodney Smith are also likely to be mixed in. Needless to say, the Saints Defense will be a popular play streaming unit in fantasy leagues in Week 17. Cannon, 26, has just 10 carries on the season for 33 yards in 13 games for the Panthers. He'll be a hard-to-trust RB3/flex on Sunday against a stiff New Orleans defense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
