Stephon Gilmore To Miss Rest Of Season
4 years agoNew England Patriots All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore (leg) is expected to miss the final two regular season games after suffering a leg injury that wasn't as serious as the team first believed it to be. However, with the Patriots officially eliminated from playoff contention after losing to the Dolphins in Week 15, Gilmore will be shut down. Gilmore will have more tests on his thigh/quadriceps area on Monday. The 30-year-old shouldn't be looking at a long offseason rehab, so he should be healthy in plenty of time for offseason workouts next spring and training camp in the summer. Gilmore's absence the last two weeks of the season will make the Patriots Defense less attractive from a fantasy standpoint, especially in Week 16 against the high-octane offense of the division-rival Bills.
