Rangers Acquire Nate Lowe From Rays
4 years agoThe Texas Rangers acquired infielder Nate Lowe and minor league first baseman Jake Guenther from the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday in exchange for minor league catcher and outfielder Heriberto Hernandez, infielder Osleivis Basabe and outfielder Alexander Ovalles. Lowe, 25, hit .224 with four home runs and 11 RBI in 21 games last season and went 0-for-3 in his only playoff appearances in the wild-card series against Toronto. The corner infielder has hit .251 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI in his two seasons with Tampa. His fantasy stock should be on the rise, especially if he can carve out an everyday role with his new squad. Hernandez hit .344 with 11 home runs and 48 RBI for the Arizona Rookie League Rangers in 2019.
