Curtis Samuel Goes On COVID-19 List
4 years agoThe Carolina Panthers have placed eight players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday after coming off their bye week, and wide receiver Curtis Samuel is one of them. Samuel was deemed a high-risk close contact, so he'll have to test negative this week in order to be cleared to play in Week 14 against the Broncos. Carolina could be down to Robby Anderson, Pharoh Cooper and Brandon Zylstra as their top three wide receivers this weekend if D.J. Moore and Samuel are unable to play. That would obviously make quarterback Teddy Bridgewater an unappealing QB streamer in deeper leagues. Samuel started the season off slow, but he caught all five of his targets for 72 yards in the Week 12 loss to the Vikings and has three touchdowns in the last five games, including his only 100-yard effort against the Chiefs in Week 9.
