4 years agoDallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said he will take the full week to determine whether quarterback Cooper Rush or signal-caller Garrett Gilbert will start under center in Week 9 against the Steelers. The Cowboys plan on making their decision on Saturday. Although Rush is on the practice squad, he knows the offense better than Gilbert, who has been with the team for only three weeks. Rush might have the advantage from a playbook standpoint, but this will be decided on how each QB looks in practice this week. With a bye in Week 10, Andy Dalton should be able to clear the COVID-19 protocol in time to return in Week 11, so this will likely be a one-game audition for whoever wins the competition. Rush or Gilbert will be a desperation low-end QB2 streamer in superflex leagues against a nasty Steelers Defense this Sunday.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
