Bengals Tell Carlos Dunlap To Stay Home
4 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals have told defensive end Carlos Dunlap to stay home rather than coming to practice on Wednesday as they sort out his future, according to sources. The Bengals have had trade talks centered around the disgruntled pass-rusher with the trade deadline approaching next week. The Lions briefly discussed the 31-year-old with Cincinnati before they settled on defensive end Everson Griffen on Tuesday. Dunlap likely won't fetch more than a late-round draft pick, but it's clear that his situation with the Bengals has soured and a change of scenery would be best for all parties. Demoted to a situational pass-rushing role, Dunlap has 18 tackles (13 solo), four QB hits and one sack in seven games in 2020.
