Keelan Cole (WR, JAX) - Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: I already wrote about Keelan Cole last week, and here I am back it once more. After two great games to start the season (15.7 and 17.8 PPR points), Keelan dropped his numbers a bit in the next two (back-to-back 8-FP games) but is now on the ascending path again after reaching 10.7 PPR points against Houston this past weekend. Also: DJ Chark Jr. had to leave the game early injured (ankle) and he's already missed time this season.

Keelan Cole's role in Jacksonville's offense is, undoubtedly, that of the WR2 at the very least. It'd be unfair to put him over Chark because the latter has missed one game and that's the only reason Chark trails Cole in snaps (209 to 244). But their production isn't widely separated, and Cole has 28 targets already to Chark's 20, which comes out as 5.6 targets per game compared to Chark's 5.

The Jaguars have a three-man receiving corps without many threats to get into the group. It's Cole, Chark, and Laviska Shenault. And so far, Cole is tied with the rookie in targets, has only two fewer receptions (21 to 23), but outperforms Laviska (1) in touchdowns with 3 TDs already. Cole is the most reliable receiver of this team other than Chark and the one getting the bonus of scoring touchdowns along with Chark. Must-add in deep (14+ Team) leagues, with a chance/upside to enter the discussion as a WW target in shallower formats.
