Von Miller To Have Surgery On Ankle
4 years agoDenver Broncos linebacker Von Miller (ankle) visited with Dr. Robert Anderson on Thursday and will have surgery to fix his dislocated tendon, according to a source. Miller will be out for at least three months and is unlikely to play in 2020. It's a huge blow to Denver's defense, as Miller and Bradley Chubb were looking forward to forming one of the best pass-rushing duos in the NFL in head coach Vic Fangio's second season. The good news is that the 31-year-old former Super Bowl MVP didn't tear the tendon in his ankle. The Broncos will need Chubb and Jurrell Casey to step up in the pass-rush department this year. Their defense still has a chance to be solid, but Miller's season-ending injury certainly gives them less upside as a low-end starting unit. Wrapping up the Titans and Derrick Henry on Monday night could prove more difficult.
