4 years agoCarolina Panthers linebacker Shaq Thompson (groin) said he's 100 percent with his groin after sitting out of last Thursday's practice. Thompson returned to practice on Friday and took part in drills. In a roster move for Carolina on Monday, the team waived running back Jordan Scarlett. Thompson had a career year in 2019, registering a career-high 109 combined tackles (75 solo), 11 tackles for loss, four quarterback hits and three sacks in 14 games in his fifth season with the team. The 26-year-old has an even more important role as the leader of the defense in the middle of the field with Luke Kuechly retired. It sounds like he'll be fine from a physical standpoint to begin the year. Treat Thompson as an every-week IDP starter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
