4 years agoDetroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum is sitting for Thursday's contest versus Brady Singer and the Royals. Harold Castro is leading off and playing shortstop versus the rookie pitcher who excelled in his debut last week. Goodrum is 5-for-22 on the season with a homer and two RBI as the team's everyday leadoff hitter. He's not your prototypical top-of-the-order bat with 10 strikeouts so far and a career .314 OBP, but the team lacks many sterling options. The switch-hitter is a viable fantasy asset since he has multi-positional eligibility and can steal a few bases, but there's not much to get excited about in his middling counting stats.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
