Clyde Edwards-Helaire Projected To Be Best Rookie RB
5 years agoNFL Network's Cynthia Frelund projects Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, the 32nd overall pick in the draft, to be the most productive rookie running back in 2020. He had an SEC-best 782 yards after contact last year, per Pro Football Focus. The former LSU star was able to break tackles in the running game (SEC-high 71 broken tackles) and in the passing game (14). Head coach Andy Reid's game plan should involve plenty of touches for both Damien Williams and Edwards-Helaire, who has a lot of upside as a receiver. His versatility and the great fit in Kansas City make Edwards-Helaire an immediate RB2 in fantasy football. Frelund rates the rookie as the No. 16 overall running back in PPR leagues.
