Jerry Jeudy 2020 Outlook: Polished Route-Runner Will Contribute Immediately
5 years agoThe Broncos selected Alabama star Jerry Jeudy with the 15th overall pick in the draft to give Drew Lock another aerial weapon as an excellent complement to Courtland Sutton on the outside. Jeudy led the Crimson Tide in 2019 with 77 receptions, 1,163 yards and 15.1 yards per catch. He was considered the best route-runner of his class, which should translate immediately to the NFL. While Jeudy has plenty of long-term upside because of his speed and attention to detail in his routes, he could struggle with the physical play of cornerbacks and could see inconsistent targets in a passing attack that features Sutton, Noah Fant and fellow rookie K.J. Hamler. The 21-year-old may struggle for consistency in his rookie season, but he is absolutely worth a late-round selection as more of a WR4 with upside in 2020.
