Damien Williams 2020 Outlook: Welp, Never Mind
5 years agoUPDATE: PLAYER HAS OPTED OUT OF THE 2020 NFL SEASON
Kansas City Chiefs running back Damien Williams shot into fantasy relevance with the Chiefs after working as a backup for the Miami Dolphins for the first four seasons of his career. Williams was solid last season and excellent in the playoffs, but the Chiefs drafted Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round and will certainly give him every chance to touch the ball. Williams was still ticketed for a pretty significant role in an excellent offense, but he will be opting out of the season instead. Anyone who had him in an early drafting redraft format can go ahead and drop him. If you haven't drafted yet, make sure not to. Owners in dynasty leagues can hold on if they have an open N/A spot or if he is IR-eligible, but if you need the roster spot it's very much defensible to drop him.
