5 years agoArizona Cardinals impending free-agent running back Kenyan Drake is seeking a deal that will pay him $8-10 million per season if he reaches the open market, according to sources. Drake excelled after being traded from the Dolphins to the Cardinals last year, running the ball 123 times for 643 yards (5.2 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns. The eight scores were a career high in just eight games to close out the season. He's looking to cash in on that small sample size. The Cardinals would certainly like him back, especially with David Johnson's health now a question, but he may prove too expensive for their taste. If Drake is playing somewhere that he is the unquestioned lead back, he proved in 2019 that he can have RB1 upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
