Aledmys Diaz Beats Astros In Arbitration
5 years agoHouston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz won his salary arbitration case and will make $2.6 million in 2020 instead of the $2 million that the team was proposing, according to sources. Diaz missed some time with injuries last season and had just 210 at-bats in a utility role, but he was useful to Houston with his .271/.356/.467 slash line, nine home runs and 40 RBI in 69 games played. An All-Star in his first big league season with the Cardinals, Diaz has become a super-utility player on a stacked Astros roster. For that reason, his only real value comes for his positional versatility on the infield in AL-only setups.
