Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Working To Improve Launch Angle
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. said he has been working to improve his launch angle, which at 6.7 degrees in his rookie season in 2019 ranked 372nd out of 406 major league hitters who put 100 or more balls into play. Hitting coach Guillermo Martinez and the team's strength and conditioning staff are working with Guerrero after he got fatigued as the season wore on. The former top prospect in baseball had an average exit velocity of 89.4 mph, which ranked him 142nd out of 406 hitters. If Guerrero can improve his conditioning and launch angle, the sky is the limit for this power-hitting phenom. He's easily a top-15 fantasy third baseman and has the potential to become an elite player at his position as early as 2020.
