Cameron Maybin Returns To Tigers
5 years agoThe Detroit Tigers agreed to a one-year major league deal with outfielder Cameron Maybin on Wednesday. The deal is for $1.5 million with the chance to make extra in incentives. Maybin played for Detroit in 2007 and 2016 and was the team's first-round pick in 2005. He'll turn 33 in April and hit .285 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI in 239 plate appearances in a platoon role for the Yankees last year. With the rebuilding Tigers, Maybin has a good chance for playing time, although he still might be more of a platoon corner outfielder. Consider the veteran as outfield depth with some speed and power in deep mixed and AL-only leagues.
