Saints May Not Be Able To Keep Teddy Bridgewater
5 years agoNew Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said that he thinks it's "unrealistic" to be able to retain all three of quarterbacks Drew Brees, Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill, who will all become free agents in March. Brees is taking his time to decide if he wants to come back for another season, but all indications are that he will and that the Saints will re-sign him for at least one more season. That means that either Bridgewater or Hill, or both, may not come back in 2020. However, in a robust quarterback market, Bridgewater may slip under the radar and be cheap enough for New Orleans to re-sign. In nine games in 2019 while filling in for an injured Brees, Bridgewater completed 67.9 percent of his passes for 1,384 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions. His fantasy value will depend on whether he's backing up Brees again or playing for another team as a starter.
