Corey Crawford Solid In Blackhawks' Win
5 years agoVeteran netminder Corey Crawford held the Montreal Canadiens to one goal in a 4-1 victory on Wednesday night. He’s had a disappointing season overall but has now allowed two goals or fewer in three of his last four starts. Veteran winger Zack Smith provided the necessary offense with two goals, which doubled his season total. Drake Caggiula, who missed significant time due to injury, scored a goal in his fourth game back. He now has four in 17 games. Alex DeBrincat also found the back of the net as he looks to rebound from a disappointing first half. He has 12 goals in 48 games after scoring 41 last season. For Montreal, Phillip Danault scored the lone goal, which was just his second point in the last 10 games. Tomas Tatar added an assist to hit the 40-point mark on the season through 48 games. He had 58 points all of last season so he should comfortably surpass that total in the 2019-20 season.
