Tyson Ross Signs With Giants
5 years agoThe San Francisco Giants signed veteran starting pitcher Tyson Ross to a minor league deal on Friday. Ross will earn $1.75 million with $1.75 million more in incentives if he makes the big league roster. The right-hander made $5.75 million in 2019 with the Tigers but didn't pitch after May 10 with elbow and neck injuries. When Ross did pitch last year, he was bad, going 1-5 with a 6.11 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings over seven starts. He'll compete for a rotation spot in San Fran. If he makes the rotation, Ross will strictly be a streaming option in deeper leagues, although his new home park won't hurt his chances of becoming fantasy relevant again.
