Jury Still Out On Jacoby Brissett
5 years agoIndianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard said that "the jury is still out on Jacoby Brissett" after the 2019 season. In the first season after Andrew Luck's surprise retirement, Brissett went 272-for-447 (60.8 percent) for 2,942 yards, 18 touchdowns and six interceptions in 15 games. He added 56 rushing attempts for 228 yards and four touchdowns. Brissett was notably better in the first half of the season, but he crumbled with wide receiver T.Y. Hilton injured for most of the season. The 27-year-old flashed at times and can use his legs to extend plays, but the ceiling isn't very high, especially in this run-first offense. Brissett will go into the 2020 season as a midrange QB2.
