Drew Lock, Brandon Allen To Split Reps This Week
5 years agoDenver Broncos president John Elway said that quarterbacks Drew Lock (thumb) and Brandon Allen will split the repetitions in practice this week. Lock remains on Injured Reserve, but he can be activated at any time. The Broncos will decide a starter for Week 13 against the Chargers by Friday, and it could very well be Lock in what would be his NFL debut. Lock has more upside as a second-round pick this year, but his long layoff could hamper his production as the team's starting quarterback down the stretch. Making his debut against the Chargers Defense isn't the most ideal matchup ideal. Neither Denver signal-caller will be an ideal QB2 the rest of the way, but Lock is a solid dynasty stash for the long term.
