Cam Reddish 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoAfter entering the collegiate ranks with considerable hype, Cam Reddish spent just a single season at Duke before entering the NBA Draft, where the Atlanta Hawks nabbed him with the 10th overall pick. Reddish’s stock slightly dipped after he shot 35.6 percent from the field overall with the Blue Devils, even as he averaged 2.5 made three-point buckets per game. That marksmanship will allow Reddish to crack Atlanta’s rotation from opening night on, although the club’s depth on the wing may ultimately limit his upside during his rookie campaign. Still extremely young (he’ll play the entire season as a 20-year-old), Reddish appears in line to benefit from the speed of the professional game, boasting his highest value in category formats where he can help owners with his long-range shooting and propensity for steals (1.6 per game last season). With that said, he’s likely only an option for deeper leagues, but could play his way into many leagues off the wire should his shooting touch prove reliable early.
