Aaron Hicks Gets The Start In Game 3
5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks is getting a rare postseason start and will hit ninth against the Astros and Gerrit Cole in Game 3. Hicks has seen only one at-bat this postseason as teammate Giancarlo Stanton heads to the bench. The move can certainly be described as surprising as Hicks is slashing a dismal .221/.299/.363 at home this season. Furthermore, he is hitting only .218 against right-handed pitching through 142 plate appearances. The Yankees are hoping Hicks provides some left-handed pop from the bottom of their order.
