Davante Adams Unsure When He'll Return
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams (toe) is unsure as to when he'll return to action after suffering from a mild case of turf toe. He missed Week 5, hasn't practiced yet this week and seems doubtful to play on Monday night against the Lions. "I can’t really tell you when I’m going to play. I know it doesn’t feel how I want it to feel at the moment, but we definitely have time," Adams said. The injury won't require surgery, but Adams doesn't want to come back too soon and risk further injury. He leads the team with 25 catches for 378 yards, but he's without a touchdown. Losing Adams for another game will make quarterback Aaron Rodgers a borderline QB1/2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling would be the No. 1 receiver if Adams is out again, but he'll likely draw shadow coverage from Lions cornerback Darius Slay. MVS would be a low-end WR3, at best, while Geronimo Allison is a weak flex option.
