Howie Kendrick At Second, Ryan Zimmerman At 1B Friday
5 years agoWashington Nationals infielder Howie Kendrick is starting at second base and is batting fifth on Friday against Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw in Game 2 of the National League Division Series. Ryan Zimmerman will get the start at first base and is batting sixth. Asdrubal Cabrera will start on the bench against the southpaw. Kendrick hit .344 on the year with 17 homers, 61 runs and 62 RBI, and he also managed 44 hits in 117 at-bats (.376) against southpaws, making him a DFS sleeper against Kershaw. Zimm had only 171 at-bats in 2019 due to injuries, slashing .257/.321/.415 with six homers and 27 RBI. He hit .367 against lefties in just 49 at-bats.
