Larry Nance Jr. 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoCleveland Cavaliers power forward/center Larry Nance Jr. enters the 2019-20 season behind Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson on the team's depth chart at the two big-man positions. Nance Jr. always seems to be on the verge of breaking out but then either an injury or bizarre rotations derails his progress. It is kind of interesting to know exactly what the Cavs are doing with both Love and Thompson being experienced vets and would be a welcomed addition to any playoff-bound club mixed with their youthful backcourt and wing players. Nance Jr.'s per-36 minute stats last season (12.6 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.8 blocks and 0.9 makes from three) are eye-popping. He is worth an add for top-50 speculation assuming the Cavs make a move in their logjammed frontcourt, but keep in mind, he may not get the minutes to provide the numbers he is able to produce.
