Jrue Holiday 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans guard Jrue Holiday saw his season cut short by a core muscle injury in 2018-19, but he'll be fully healthy for the start of 2019-20, and it promises to be a very successful one for him. The Pelicans aren't Anthony Davis' team anymore and the whole roster is expected to replace him by committee. Holiday will be leading the pack as one of the most experienced players in the squad. He'll look to average 20-plus points again like he did last year (a career-high 21.2) and Lonzo Ball's presence should ease his playmaking load. Holiday already played more like a shooting guard last season, yet he still managed to average a very good 7.7 assists per game. He recorded a new career-high in rebounds (5.0) and tied his career-high in steals (1.6). it's also worth to note that Holiday had the second-best shooting year of his career, nailing 47.2 percent of his field-goal attempts. Injuries have been a big issue with Holiday throughout his career as he's managed to log at least 70 games just four times, but as long as he's on the court, he'll be one of the most productive guards in the league.
