J.J. Nelson Steps Into WR2 Role
5 years agoOakland Raiders wide receiver J.J. Nelson will now step into a starting role with the recent loss of Antonio Brown. He's been limited in all of the team's practices this week as he recovers from a preseason Week 2 ankle injury, but the team hasn't shown any concern for his availability Monday night. Nelson has a tough matchup versus the Broncos in Week 1 and doesn't hold much fantasy value in season-long leagues despite the promotion. He has superb playmaking ability but has never found enough consistency over his career to be a reliable fantasy option. Nelson's value this year will come in favorable matchups on the DFS slate, but Week 1 is not a recommended play.
