5 years agoOakland Athletics closer Blake Treinen (shoulder) threw 20 pitches in a flat-ground session on Thursday and his next step will be a bullpen session after an off day on Friday. “As far as the progression goes, I think we’re on a good pace,” manager Bob Melvin said. Treinen certainly hasn't been as lights-out as he was in 2018, posting a 4.08 ERA, 1.53 WHIP, 16 saves and 36 K's in 35 1/3 innings. However, it looks like he could be back from the injured list when he's eligible and back closing games for the A's and fantasy owners soon. Keep him stashed everywhere.
