Dallas Keuchel Looks Good In First Minor League Start
6 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Dallas Keuchel allowed only one hit and had nine strikeouts in seven scoreless innings for High-A Rome in his first minor league start on Monday. The left-hander threw just 77 pitches in the outing. Keuchel is expected to need at least one more minor league start before the Braves add him to their starting rotation. The former American League Cy Young winner won't post gaudy strikeout numbers with his new team, but he should fare well as a ground-ball artist in Atlanta and should be owned in most leagues now that he's close to making his 2019 season debut. Kevin Gausman could be bumped from the rotation to make room for Keuchel soon.
