Brandon Nimmo Starting Rehab Assignment Thursday
6 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo (neck) is starting his rehab assignment with High-A St. Lucie on Thursday and is hitting leadoff as the designated hitter. If he goes without any setbacks on his rehab assignment, the 26-year-old could rejoin the Mets next week. He's been bad this year with a .200/.344/.323 slash line, three homers and 14 RBI, but much of it might be attributed to the neck injury he's been dealing with since April. When he returns, owners in mixed leagues can take a wait-and-see approach before considering re-adding him to rosters.
