Neil Walker Has Quad Strain
6 years agoUpdating a previous report, Miami Marlins first baseman Neil Walker (quadriceps) is dealing with a right quadriceps strain and is listed as day-to-day after leaving the game early on Thursday. The 33-year-old will surely miss some time with this injury and might need to go on the injured list. He's hitting a nice .295/.375/.443 on the year but has just four homers and 14 RBI. Walker is more of an NL-only commodity. Martin Prado would figure to see regular playing time at first base if Walker is forced to the injured list.
