Duke Johnson Receiving Trade Interest
6 years agoCleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson is receiving trade interest and at least three teams are believed to be interested in trading for the running back. General manager John Dorsey said the team hadn't made Johnson expendable "yet" after they signed Kareem Hunt on Feb. 11. Cleveland is in no rush to trade Johnson because they don't yet know how long the league will suspend Hunt for in 2019. It's believed that the Eagles and Cowboys are among the interested parties. With Nick Chubb taking over lead duties in his rookie year, Johnson was an afterthought and was used sparingly as a pass-catcher. He had 156 total touches in 2017 and fell to just 87 last season. Johnson's PPR fantasy stock is way down entering the 2019 season with Chubb and Hunt in the picture ahead of him, so a trade might be best for everyone involved.
