Equanimeous St. Brown Still Not Worth A Start
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown bounced back last week after a rough outing against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11. He has a more favorable matchup in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals but he still does not warrant fantasy consideration. St. Brown has played close to a third of Green Bay’s offensive snaps this year, but still makes mistakes with his routes and he does not have the trust of quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This has led him to only have 13 receptions on the year. With the potential return of wide receivers Randall Cobb and Jake Kumerow, his role could shrink further. St. Brown has displayed excellent speed and athleticism, particularly for someone who is 6’5”, this year but needs to seriously improve his route running. He also has a habit of not always high-pointing the ball and utilizing his size, although he has also demonstrated a great catch radius at points. Simply put, he is still a raw rookie prospect. This gives him fantasy value in dynasty leagues as a stash, but he should not be owned or started in any redraft leagues.
