We're down to the final stretch of the regular season. Before we know it, Bowl Season will be upon us. Luckily for those of us obsessed with college football DFS, we still have a handful of big slates left. This Saturday, beginning at noon, we have an 11 game Main slate on DraftKings.
Before we jump into players and such, let's take a look at a few interesting Vegas lines ahead of that. The two biggest projected point totals of the slate belong to the West Virginia at Oklahoma State (74) and Syracuse versus Notre Dame (65) games. Thankfully, they both feature spreads of 10 points or less, so they should make for pretty optimal game stacks. We have two other games with pretty attractive point totals in the NC State at Louisville (63.5) and USF at Temple (61) games, but unfortunately they both feature spreads of two touchdowns or more. That doesn't make them untouchable, but one team I'd want no exposure to is Louisville, as they've played like dead bodies for weeks.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/17/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. DraftKings DFS Quarterbacks
Taylor Cornelius - QB, vs West Virginia
Cornelius has been consistently great these past few weeks, and I'm happy to go right back to him again in tournaments in this great matchup. This game features the highest point total of the slate at 74, and I love targeting the underdog quarterback in these situations. The Big12 - known for its offense, and certainly not defense! Cornelius has upside not only due to the matchup and Vegas implied totals, but he's got serious arm talent and, perhaps most importantly, huge volume. He attempted 53 passes (connecting on 34 for over 500 yards and three scores) last week in a matchup that should play out similarly to this Saturday's against the Mountaineers.
Drew Lock - QB, at Tennessee ($7,400)
Lock wasn't initially on my radar this week, but he's crept onto it thanks to all the action on the over in this game in Vegas. A whopping 91% of the money is on the OVER, and it moved up from 45 all the way to 57 (with a desirable 6.5 point spread, too). I'm not sure I have ever seen such massive line movement, even in college football. Lock entered the season with a lot of hype and was listed in a lot of pre-season Heisman Trophy lists. He hasn't quite panned out (his performances have left something to be desired considering the talent), but the upside is still there and I think he'll be very low owned this weekend against a Tennessee squad that struggles against the pass.
Also consider at Quarterback: Will Grier - QB, at Oklahoma State ($10,100)
DraftKings DFS Running Backs
Ryquell Armstead - RB, vs USF ($8,600)
Armstead is far from a name you'll recognize, but he deserves to be in your cash game and tournament builds this weekend. Armstead is really talented back that happens to average 5.5 yards per carry and over 22 rushing attempts per game. He's got big play upside and he's got huge volume that gives him a comfortable points floor and big ceiling. Adding to his allure this weekend is the Vegas projected total (61) and the fact that his USF team has been consistently gashed on the ground week in and week out - they're averaging nearly 250 rushing yards through week 10.
Mike Weber - RB, at Maryland ($5,500)
Weber represents a nice value (and upside!) here as it appears he's now the lead-back again in the Ohio State backfield and they have a great matchup this weekend against a really poor Maryland squad. After receiving just nine carries in back to back weeks, Weber exploded for 104 yards and a touchdown last weekend against Michigan State (a great rush defense, no less) on 22 carries. There is certainly no guarantee he gets more carries than J.K. Dobbins this weekend, but the matchup eases my concerns from the viewpoint that both of these dogs should eat. Ohio State is projected for a ton of points, and it's likely they'll blow the Terrapins out, which would lead to a run-heavy script in the second half.
Also Consider at Running Back: Jordan Ellis - RB, at Georgia Tech ($5,400)
DraftKings DFS Wide Receivers
Greg Dortch - WR, vs Pitt ($7,700)
Greg Dortch is Mr. Reliable for the Wake Forest offense and he has been paying off his price tag weekly in DFS contests. He's found the end zone in back-to-back weeks and only twice this season has he finished a game with four catches or less. He's clearly the favorite target in this passing attack, and the target/catch volume creates a nice point floor. His ceiling this week is higher than normal as he faces off against a Pitt team with a good overall defense - but one that struggles much more against the pass than they do against the run.
Also Consider at Wide Receiver: Antoine Wesley - WR, at Kansas State ($8,900)
