Despite Distractions, Aaron Rodgers a Strong Start in Week 6
6 years agoGreen Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) has had a turbulent week leading up to a Monday night game against the San Francisco 49ers. Coach Mike McCarthy has faced criticism for his offensive scheme. Much of this criticism has stemmed from apparent frustration coming from Rodgers himself. Additionally, Rodgers is still dealing with a knee injury suffered in Week 1 that has kept him out of Thursday’s practice. Despite all of this, Rodgers is still an elite fantasy option this week against a defense that has by no means dominated opposing quarterbacks. One of the most valuable aspects of Rodgers is that even in the worst situations he is still able to put up productive stats. As his health improves his performances should get better. Rodgers has gotten out to a slow start in the last few years so there is reason to think he should improve on his comparatively mediocre start. Rodgers should be viewed as an elite QB1 in Week 6 who should be started over all but a few other fantasy options.
