Dylan Frittelli Starts 2019 With T25 Finish
6 years agoIt seems incredible that Dylan Frittelli had to struggle to earn his PGA Tour card for the 2019 season, but that is precisely the position the South African found himself facing. Frittelli, who is ranked 69th in the world, yielded minimal success over in the United States during his 2018 campaign and did most of his damage over in Europe. As a result of this, the 28-year-old had to scramble to earn his PGA Tour card on the Web.com Tour. Frittelli made eight of nine cuts on the European Tour last season, which included seven top-25 finishes. However, the University of Texas alumni did not experience the same level of production on the PGA Tour. Frittelli was only able to make six of 11 cuts last season and did not provide a top-10 result. Frittelli's share of 25th at the Safeway Open gives him a decent start to the 2019 season and will be something that he hopes to expand on the next time he tees it up.
