Rory McIlroy Folds To Tiger Woods' Roar On Sunday
6 years agoRory McIlroy shot a four-over par 74 during his final round, falling from a share of second place entering the day to a share of seventh. The Tiger effect was on full display at East Lake, and nobody had a more difficult task than McIlroy did. The Irishman played alongside Woods on Sunday and experienced the pandemonium first-hand. While the 29-year-old was not able to overcome the adversity, he will get some home-field advantage of his own at the Ryder Cup this weekend. McIlroy is 9-6-4 in his career in Ryder Cup matches and is the +450 favorite to lead his European side in points, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
