Green Bay Packers Are Not Shopping Randall Cobb
6 years agoAccording to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Green Bay Packers are not shopping wide receiver Randall Cobb. Rumors started after Michael Lombardi of The Ringer made a comment on his podcast that Cobb is available. The rumors didn’t make much sense to begin with. Cobb is clearly a big part of Green Bay’s offensive plan for 2018. None of the newly drafted wide receivers have done much to impress in camp and no one is currently capable of replacing him. Cobb may have lost a bit of his top end speed, but he is still explosive and sure handed. He hasn’t been served well by Green Bay’s offensive scheme in the past few years, but the addition of more speed to Green Bay’s offense should open some things up for him. Still, Cobb hasn’t had a fantasy relevant year for a little while. He should be viewed as a later round low-floor/high-ceiling player.
