Aaron Rodgers Makes Brief Preseason Debut
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his preseason debut on Thursday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played in one series that ended in a touchdown. Rodgers was 2-for-4 passing with 35 yards. His lone touchdown pass was to tight end Jimmy Graham in the red zone. Rodgers hasn’t seen much action in the preseason over the past few years. Still, this game was important as it is the first game action Rodgers has seen since fully recovering from a broken a collarbone. He seemed to respond well to getting hit, an important part in any rehab process. Overall, he performed well and provided no reasons to doubt viewing him as fantasy’s top quarterback in 2018. Rodgers will likely play a bit more in Green Bay’s third preseason game before being shut down until the season opener.
