Ricky Seals-Jones 2018 Player Outlook: Talented Tight End Could Be Primed For Breakout
6 years agoArizona Cardinals tight end Ricky Seals-Jones wound up being a pleasant surprise for his team in 2017. The former college wide receiver began the season on the practice squad but wound up getting promoted and playing seven games for the Cardinals, catching 12 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Seals-Jones, and all Cardinals tight ends, should see an uptick in workload in 2018 as former Arizona head coach Bruce Arians was notorious for ignoring tight ends in his offenses over the years. Arizona's new coaching staff appears ready to make Seals-Jones the team's starting tight end in 2018, which gives him some appeal as a sleeper. If you need upside at the tight end position this season, draft him as a TE2 in the later rounds.
