Mike Williams 2018 Outlook: Chance To Show His Talent
6 years agoEntering 2018 training camps, Mike Williams was likely going to be at best the Chargers fourth or fifth receiving option. But with the loss of tight end Hunter Henry, opportunity has opened for the second year player who barely saw the field as a rookie. With his back issues seemingly behind him, Williams has a chance to earn the team's number two wide receiver role alongside Keenan Allen. Even if he can't carve out an every down role, the big bodied receiver should be a threat in the end zone. Henry caught 12 touchdowns over the last two years, and Williams could see his share of those. Williams is worth a late-round pick in fantasy drafts just in case he earns a large role in one of the league's better offenses with a strong passing game.
