Dustin Johnson Climbs Into the Top-10 On Friday
6 years agoDustin Johnson shot a six-under par 66 during his second round at the RBC Canadian Open, ending the day at 10-under par and in a share of sixth place. For the most part, the American looked much better on Friday than he did on Thursday. Johnson gained 3.195 strokes to the field on his approach shots, a stat that he lost negative -0.614 strokes during his round on Thursday. As great at the No. 1 ranked player in the world struck the ball, the one thing that did regress between the two days was his putting. Johnson lost negative -1.158 strokes putting on the day. Despite entering the third round three shots back of Kevin Tway and two shots behind Whee Kim and Keegan Bradley, Johnson is the 2/1 betting favorite to capture the title, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook. Johnson will tee off tomorrow in the fifth to last group with Canadian Nick Taylor.
