Tony Finau is Having a Breakthrough 2018
6 years agoWhile Tony Finau only has one win in his career -- a victory at the 2016 Puerto Rico Open -- he is quickly becoming one of the brightest young stars on tour. Finau has posted 14 top-25 finishes in his 21 total events played in 2018, and maybe even more impressively, he has recorded a top-10 finish at all three Majors so far this season. This week, the Utah native heads to the RBC Canadian Open and will try to outdo his share of fifth place at Glen Abbey in 2017. Finau is projected to be the highest owned player on DraftKings, which isn't a huge surprise given his current form and skill set for the course. The American ranks first in strokes gained on par-fives, first in greens in regulation gained and third in birdies or better gained. His 16/1 outright price, according to the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, doesn't provide a ton of value for a guy who has only won once in his career, but his second career win is on the horizon, and it will just be a matter of time until Finau has a huge breakthrough.
