Torrey Smith 2018 Outlook: A Deep Threat For Newton
6 years agoWith the likes of rookie D.J. Moore, Devin Funchess and Greg Olsen ahead of him in the receiving game, as well as a great receiving back in Christian McCaffrey, Torrey Smith will find it difficult to produce much fantasy value in 2018. Much like his role in Philadelphia last season, he will be more of a field stretcher, allowing others to work underneath and get the bulk of the production. While this is great for the Panthers, it is not good for fantasy unless you are in a best ball league or you choose correctly for a boom week in DFS. While he could help Cam Newton have a better season as he will be able to give the Panthers a deep target, he still should be taken only as a last option in deep leagues.
