Taywan Taylor 2018 Outlook: Rising and Rolling In Music City
6 years agoComing out of Western Kentucky, many draft pundits liked wide receiver Taywan Taylor as a prospect. Being drafted to the same team as Corey Davis did not help his prospects nor did the miserable season by Marcus Mariota. In 16 games, he only achieved 16 receptions for 43 yards despite Davis missing significant time due to injury. With Mariota healthy again in 2018, we can only hope for better from the second-year player. The departure of Eric Decker means an opportunity for Taylor as 54 receptions are now up for grabs. If Mariota bounces back, this number will go even higher. An undisclosed injury to Rishard Matthews that landed him on the PUP list in training camp brings even more intrigue to Taylor as a late-round flier. Taylor should see a major upturn in production. If you can get him in the last few rounds of your draft, he may just bring you WR4 upside for your team. Otherwise, get him off the waiver wire as a bye week fill-in.
