Curtis Samuel 2018 Outlook: Will He Or Won't He
6 years agoAfter a dismal rookie season in which Curtis Samuel caught 15 receptions for 115 yards in only nine games, there is real speculation he may not even make the Carolina roster in 2018. While many people were studded at his being drafted to Carolina in the second round after already using their first-round pick on fellow pass catching back Christian McCaffrey, this is still a shocking development for someone drafted so high and with so much hype coming out of Ohio State. The depth at running back and wide receiver on the Panthers makes his value nil even if he does stay on the roster. With the likes of Devon Funchess, Greg Olsen and rookie D.J. Moore ahead of him in the passing game and McCaffrey and newly acquired C.J. Anderson ahead of him in the running game, he will struggle to find the field in any capacity making him a waiver wire long shot at best this season.
