Josh McCown 2018 Outlook: The Teacher And The Apprentice
6 years agoThis is a transition season for both the Jets and quarterback Josh McCown. With Sam Darnold in the fold to take over, McCown can see the writing on the wall of this being his last season not only in New York, but also likely in the NFL. McCown's gun slinger mentality can bode well for fantasy stats, but it can also leads to injuries, which he has suffered many of over the years. While the hope is he will play the entire season, the most likely scenario is he will last about half the season before handing the reigns Darnold. McCown is not a fantasy asset this season for any league format as we just do not know how long he will have the job Much like Sam Bradford in Arizona, the only way McCown could be of any use is as a streamer for a quarterback with an early bye week.
