James White 2018 Outlook: Lost In The Commitee
6 years agoFrom deserving to be the Super Bowl MVP after the 2016 season, it has been a remarkable ride for James White in the Patriots offense. While suffering through a committee last season was bad enough for James White, it will be even more dire for the receiving back this season with the addition of first round draft pick Sony Michel from Georgia. With the Patriots using a first round pick on a running back for the first time since Laurence Maroney of Minnesota and Rex Burkhead still there, the work for White will be limited at best in 2018. White has caught 56 and 60 passes the last two years, but never rushed for even 200 yards or scored more than six touchdowns in a season. His best bet of having relevance is from an injury, which we never like to forecast. Therefore the best bet is to let him go undrafted or taken with the last pick in your draft. Otherwise, just wait and see if injuries happen and grab him from waivers.
